DOWNLOAD
Lichia OS is currently hosted at Google Drive, as it is a free option and it is ad-free. The .iso file has around 2GB so make sure you have that bandwidth and a stable connection.
Lichia OS is 64bit only, newer computers (not tablets or netbooks) are almost all 64bit. To install it requires:
1. A HDD with at least 10 GB of free space, plus 2 to 8GB for a swap partition. The Swap should be of the same size of your RAM memory.
2. For the best results, a video card such as Nvidia, AMD Radeon or Intel capable of 3D effects and Blur. If it runs Windows Aero theme it should be fine.
3. One blank DVD or an at least 4Gb USB drive are required as installation media. See how to use a USB stick on Windows HERE or use Startup Disk creator if you are already on (K)Ubuntu.
WARNING: Lichia OS comes with absolutely no warranty and I do not take any responsibility to any data loss during the installation or any damage that it might cause to your system.
You may need to download additional drivers specific to your computer after the OS installation refer to the SUPPORT section.
LEGAL NOTICE
Lichia OS is merely a repackaging of many programs and I put this "repackaging" under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Generic (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0) . But I’m no law expert and don’t really know if it is the best option and reserve to myself the right to change this as I see fit.
Applications included in Lichia OS have their own licenses and user agreements and these licences are placed above and before (but not cumulatively to) Lichia OS license. Everything should be properly documented and non-free software should not have been altered as far as I know. If by seeking the user experience I might have overlooked something, and I'm redistributing something against its original licensing, please contact me and I will adequate it or remove the software from Lichia OS immediately.
